At Smile Station Dental Care, we want our patients to know that we invest in high-tech diagnostic tools and dental equipment to streamline their visits. Patients can expect comfort with compassion.
Dr. Scott Bridges provides comprehensive dental care that builds and designs smiles. We apply sedation dentistry to patients who are anxious or need a little TLC.
Patients interested in the tools we use to design and restore smiles can browse through our technology. If anything piques your interest, we are more than happy to describe in further detail how they help and answer any questions, so please call us at any time!
Intraoral cameras are small handheld digital cameras that we use to take images of your teeth and soft tissues that we can display on your chairside monitor. Patients who can see existing dental issues with their own eyes are more likely to understand dental procedures and the need for them. Oral health issues include cavities, fractures, worn down teeth, gum disease, and plaque build-up.
Intraoral cameras allow Dr. Scott Bridges to diagnose developing issues and quickly treat them. We do everything within our capacity to keep your smile healthy as well as beautiful.
3-D Cone Beam Imaging (CBCT)
We love using advanced dental technology when traditional means are not enough. Our 3-D cone beam digital imaging technology allows Dr. Scott Bridges to take detailed scans of the jawbone surrounding the teeth.
This dental equipment transforms the way dental professionals can diagnose your dental needs and help and improve procedures that heal your smile. One single scan can take anywhere from 150 to 700 panoramic, first-rate 3-D images that allow us to complete a dental evaluation.
We may use the 3D- Cone Beam CT to plan complex surgical procedures such as tooth extractions or dental implants.
Often, the greatest dangers to our oral health are invisible to the naked eye. Dental issues often show very few signs, and the biggest threat to our dental well-being is often undetectable to the naked eye. Cavities, gum disease, and infection can develop within the tooth or beneath the gum line, where they remain hidden until your next exam.
Leading-edge technology like digital x-rays takes high-resolution pictures of your teeth and gums, making any current oral health issues visible to Dr. Scott Bridges.
Patients may enjoy seeing what we see on a chairside monitor, so they can make the best decisions that work for them. We can zoom in on our digital images without losing resolution or quality.
Since they don't require traditional film, digital x-rays emit less radiation and require zero environmentally dangerous chemicals.
Digital impressions allow Dr. Scott Bridges to create an image of your smile using a wandlike diagnostic tool. Aided by advanced software, we create virtual molds of the tissues in your mouth, which can then be sent to a dental lab to fabricate natural-looking dental crowns, bridges, dentures, and more.
We know just how messy traditional goopy molds can be, especially for patients with sensitive teeth or a gag reflex. Digital impressions are more comfortable and precise.
